About the creator…

Brian Beck is a South Carolina native. He grew up in Myrtle Beach with a love for surfing and the ocean.

Always drawn to the artistic world, he studied at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts. The ocean kept calling, and he became a professional scuba diver in 1996 working 10 years as a dive master, eager to share his love of the ocean and the creatures within it – particularly sharks! He was later trained as a US Army scuba diver in 2007.

Brian is also an avid motorcyclist who started riding at age 6. It’s the difference in the experience-participating in the environment on a bike rather than driving through it in a vehicle still makes him feel as if he was six years old on his very first ride.

He first began working with silver during his years at SCAD, and after surviving a battle with cancer, he decided to rekindle that passion. He weaves his love of the ocean, ocean creatures, motorcycles, and Nordic culture into his work, producing one-of-a-kind jewelry – from Nordic runes to bold silver sharks tooth settings as well as rings, bracelets and earrings. While he incorporates fossils in some of his pieces, all were found on local beaches and no animals are harmed in the production of his works.

His collection includes:

 Sea inspired jewelry pieces: shark teeth and shark vertebrae

 Coins and bezels

 Bangles and bracelets

 Rings: bold silver and mixed metal, his and her rings

 Viking and Ogham writing and rune pendants

 Statement neck pieces and collars
